Order of Operations
If you are reinstalling drivers don’t forgot to uninstall the old and reboot the computer before you install the new ones. Often times it simply comes down to the order of operations; this seems to be especially true with network devices.
- Uninstall old drivers
- Turn off computer
- Remove hardware (If possible)
- Turn on computer and install new drivers (If you couldn’t remove the old hardware cancel the Windows “Found New Hardware” wizard, before installing the new drivers)
- Turn off computer and reinstall hardware
